Campari Q1 Organic Sales Rise 2.9% Amid Forecast Miss and Strong Market Share
Campari Reports First Quarter Financial Results
MILAN, May 6 (Reuters) - Italian spirits group Campari said on Wednesday its organic revenues were up 2.9% in the first quarter, missing forecasts, and reported similar growth rates in its main markets of North America and Europe.
Revenue Performance and Analyst Expectations
Revenues totalled 643 million euros ($755.65 million), below an analysts consensus compiled by Visible Alpha of 651 million euros.
2026 Guidance and Growth Outlook
Campari confirmed its 2026 guidance and said it expected an underlying growth of around 3% to continue through the year.
Market Share and Brand Performance
"Despite the challenging operating backdrop, we gained market share in nearly all our key markets globally, especially on our priority brands", CEO Simon Hunt said in a statement.
Category Breakdown: Aperitifs, Whiskey, and Rum
Sales of aperitifs rose 2% in the first quarter on an organic basis, while the whiskey and rum category declined 5%.
