Euro zone consumer confidence improved to -14.2 in January, a rise of 0.3 points from December, as per European Commission data.
(Reuters) - Euro zone consumer confidence rose by 0.3 points in January from the December number, figures released on Thursday showed.
The European Commission said a flash estimate showed euro zone consumer morale improved to -14.2 this month from -14.5 in December.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected a rise to -14.2.
In the European Union as a whole, consumer sentiment remained stable at -13.3 points.
