Octopus Energy Invests €584 Million to Expand European Wind Farm Portfolio
Major Investment in European Renewable Energy
LONDON, May 6 (Reuters) - Octopus Energy Generation said on Wednesday it had invested 584 million euros ($630 million) to acquire a portfolio of onshore wind farms across France, Germany and Poland, as part of a push to expand renewable energy capacity in Europe.
The investments, made on behalf of its Sky fund (ORI SCSp), cover 17 sites with a combined capacity of 321 megawatts, including projects that are operational and under construction.

France: Largest Market for Octopus Energy
• Octopus acquired 143.5 megawatts of wind farms across 10 sites in France, its largest continental European renewables market.
Germany: Expansion with Operational and Under-Construction Projects
• It bought four wind farms in Germany with a combined capacity of 102.5 MW, with two projects already operational and two under construction.
Poland: Operational Wind Farms and Future Pipeline
• The company also acquired three operational wind farms in Poland totalling 75 MW.
• The Polish deal includes access to a pipeline of additional renewable projects under development.

Electricity Generation Capacity
• The wind farms are expected to generate enough electricity to power more than 250,000 homes.
Octopus Energy's Growing European Portfolio
• Following the deals, Octopus said it now manages 67 onshore wind farms across Europe.
