myPINpad, the world’s first consumer authentication company set to solve multi-channel and multi-factor security via the Cardholder PIN, has announced the appointment of David Froud as Head of Global Compliance & Risk and Jon Pinkerton as Head of Innovation.
David Froud assumes responsibility for the global risk management, regulatory compliance and security of the myPINpad technology. He is highly certified in the payments and security sectors and proven to deliver collaborative data security solutions to high-end corporate clients, as well as helping to introduce innovative ideas into the payments space. Prior to myPINpad Froud has held senior positions within the information security and PCI industry.
Jon Pinkerton is a technology and product innovator both inside and outside of the payments industry. He has a long history of supporting, integrating and developing payments software and solutions, and is able to combine industry insight with deep technical knowhow to deliver functioning proofs of concepts and actionable product strategies aligned with myPINpad’s overall business vision. Active across the global payments industry and with networks into Banks, Financial Service providers and start-ups, Pinkerton has unique insight into the disruptions occurring in payments. His experience makes him a perfect fit for the myPINpad team as Head of Innovation.
Speaking about both appointments Philip King, Executive Chairman of myPINpad said: “We are thrilled to have David and Jon join the myPINpad executive team. myPINpad’s aim, through building a world class team, is to become recognised as the de facto service for the secure entry of Consumer credentials for identity and authentication purposes. Both David and Jon have held senior positions at large global organisations where their respective security and payments expertise has been honed. Over the coming months the impact of two such strong appointments will be demonstrated as they help to drive the company’s’ continuing global growth”.
On his appointment David Froud, Head of Global Compliance & Risk commented: “The myPINpad solution optimises innovation and security around the payment process while assuring ROI by reducing risk and fraud. Crucially in today’s digital world, myPINpad technology preserves the consumer experience with a familiar and globally accepted authentication process. I am excited to be part of such an innovative team”.
Jon Pinkerton, Head of Innovation added: “In a previous role I was sent to the UK to find the next ‘big’ thing in payments innovation, which is how I met the myPINpad team – I was so blown away by the technology I decided to join the executive team to help drive the solution forward. The technology behind myPINpad acts as a ‘bridge’ between existing technologies in the client’s network and new technologies, making it an inexpensive integration for merchants and service providers alike. For end-users myPINpad is extremely simple to use via secure Cardholder PIN entry directly on their digital or mobile device, something which has until now not been possible”.
