LONDON, June 15 (Reuters) - Britain is expected to announce new sanctions on Tuesday targeting Russia's shadow fleet and finance networks, the government said in a statement.
Details of the Sanctions
• Full details to be announced as Prime Minister Keir Starmer meets other leaders at a G7 summit in France.
• The government said the sanctions would "directly target Russia's illicit shadow fleet and finance networks used to circumvent western sanctions and support military procurement."
• Measures will also affect vessels moving sanctioned Russian Liquefied Natural Gas.
Recent Enforcement Actions
• Sanctions come after British commandos for the first time boarded and intercepted a sanctioned Russian shadow fleet oil tanker in the Channel on Sunday.
UK Financial Support for Ukraine
Export Finance and Uranium Supply
• Separately, government to provide £210 million ($282 million) in support from UK Export Finance for UK-based Urenco to supply enriched uranium to Ukrainian nuclear power producer Energoatom.
