iute Moldova is honored with the Global Banking and Finance Excellence Award

Published : , on

iute Moldova has received the Global Banking and Finance Excellence Award, an event that reflects the highest level of innovation, achievements, including strategic ones, and progressive and inspirational changes taking place within the international financial community. The Global Banking and Finance Awards were established to recognize the achievements of prominent companies in the global financial world across various dimensions and are presented by the UK-based Global Banking & Finance Review magazine.

Clearly, the decision to grant the Global Banking and Finance Excellence Award was driven by the business performance and financial-economic indicators of iute Moldova, which include an exemplary relationship with customers and significant contributions to the economy of the Republic of Moldova in 2023. However, according to the 2023 Social Impact Report of iute Moldova, among the criteria that influenced the jury’s decision to award the Excellence Prize were team efficiency, the creation of a friendly work environment at iute Moldova, the regular organization of community events and social activities involving employees and their families, and more.

Sergiu Sobuleac, CEO of iute Moldova, states that all 130 employees of the company benefit from various professional development programs and can measure their competence in professional competitions with attractive monetary and non-monetary rewards (such as “Visit the World,” “Best of the Best,” etc.) because only in this way can employees evaluate their prospects in the context of their professional aspirations.

“Every employee of our company knows that they can grow professionally and, in this sense, have the necessary conditions. And I’m not just referring to training in courses, say, in English or other areas. I am also referring to a decent salary that far exceeds the national average and to serious investments in the work environment. Our philosophy is that this environment must be friendly and ensure a comfortable, non-conflictual work process. “I believe all these contribute to our employees’ efficiency, and I wholeheartedly express my gratitude because, in fact, it is thanks to them that we were recognized and received such a valuable award!” said Sergiu Sobuleac.

Among the benefits of implementing a modern office concept, mentioned in the 2023 Social Impact Report of iute Moldova, are the flexible design that allows for easy reconfiguration of the workspace according to team needs, improved communication infrastructure with high-quality video conferencing systems, messaging platforms, and management tools, the existence of a specially designated space for children so that employees can focus on work knowing that their children are safe and engaged in various activities. Additionally, noise management solutions were noted, such as special headphones or soundproofing elements.

Representatives of the Global Banking and Finance Awards also observed that iute Moldova maintains a democratic hierarchy guided by the principles of “Primus inter pares” management and has established flexible work policies that allow employees to choose between remote work and office work, depending on their preferences and individual circumstances. The editor of the Global Banking & Finance Review Wanda Rich highlights that iute Moldova encourages a culture of trust and autonomy, focusing more on results than on physical presence in the office. Moreover, the editor underscores the role of employee feedback on various topics related to facilitating the work process within the company.

“We found that there is a feedback mechanism here to collect information from employees regarding the effectiveness of the design, the comfortableness of the workspace, etc. The installation of charging stations for electric transport in the same workspace, which encourages the use of eco-friendly transport options and supports employees who commute using electric vehicles, scooters, or bicycles, is also commendable,” mentioned Wanda Rich.

Regarding environmental protection, iute Moldova has developed impressive policies, also mentioned in the 2023 Social Impact Report of iute Moldova, prepared by Global Banking & Finance Review. Among them: promoting non-paper interaction channels with customers – Call Center, Social Networks, Messenger, web, Myiute; reducing the volume of the Loan Contract and its electronic signing, which reduce paper usage by 60%; using LED lights in all company spaces, and many more.

Also taken into account were the CSR activities of iute Moldova throughout 2023, which focused primarily on financial education. We were enormously impressed by the contribution of iute Moldova to the national financial education campaign launched in 2019. In fact, this participation is a first for financial institutions of its kind and the first ever launched in Moldova! I am, of course, referring to the educational video materials, which, thanks to iute Moldova, were translated and adapted into sign language to make the material accessible to hearing-impaired children,” mentioned the editor of Global Banking & Finance Review, Wanda Rich.

It should be noted that within this financial education activity, the materials produced reached over half a million people through online channels and social media in 2023 and were distributed to 83 high schools and 109 middle schools, 65% of which are located in rural areas.
