Dion Global Solutions (Dion) (BSE: 526927) has appointed David Bowles as Regional Director for Australia and New Zealand. In this new role he will hold full P&L responsibility for the region, including strategic product development, new business activities and existing operations.

David has a 20 year track record in financial markets technology innovation. He was instrumental in the development of Dion’s retail trading software solution, Trade Centre, through a partnership in his previous role as the Managing Director and co-founder at boutique technology services provider Livewire Labs.

“We are gearing up for substantial growth in the coming years and David’s experience and leadership will be critical,” said Ralph Horne, Global CEO at Dion. “His insights on the Trade Centre development meant we could quickly launch a product that provides retail broking with a fresh, modern and innovative solution.”

“The continued pressures of globalisation, stringent regulatory requirements and ever more demanding market expectations mean interesting times for the Australian and New Zealand markets,” said David. “In these circumstances technology will play a key role in determiningwhich firms succeed. Having worked with Dion for several years already, I’m confident our solutions will be the ones that help our customers stay ahead.”
