WEDO TECHNOLOGIES LEADS ANALYSYS MASON’S WORLDWIDE MARKET SHARE FOR REVENUE ASSURANCE AND FRAUD MANAGEMENT

Attains 14 per cent of global market share in Analytics Software Solutions report

WeDo Technologies has been named by leading telecoms, media and technology (TMT) analyst firm Analysys Mason as the worldwide market leader in the Revenue Assurance (RA) and Fraud Management (FM) software space. Recognised in the research and consulting firm’s Analytics Software Solutions: Worldwide Market Shares 2013 report, published in July 2014, WeDo Technologies achieves a 14 per cent total market share.

Leveraging extensive primary research data into vendor revenues from companies that use analytics software within Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to support multiple business cases, the report specifically breaks out RA and FM as distinct sub-sectors within the market, covering four technology areas of the RA / FM and business analytics sectors.

It notes that, in a year in which Revenue Assurance income grew at 7 per cent Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), WeDo Technologies substantially increased its own revenues through organic growth and acquisition, winning 20 new customers across five different countries in 2013. Other key WeDo Technologies strengths highlighted by Analysys Mason include:

  • Continued strengthening of its portfolio of RA and FM products with business management solutions for roaming and collections.
  • Strong Tier-1 customer references, including Claro Brazil, Oi, Orange, Turkcell, Verizon, Vimpelcom, Vodafone and Zain.
  • Software solutions that are supported by solid service offerings; worldwide SaaS delivery model if required.

Justin van der Lande, Principal Analyst at Analysys Mason and report author commented: “Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management continue to be highly significant in Telecoms. Falling service margins make even small revenue leakage losses important to CSPs, while continued changes to network infrastructure and the increasing complexity of charging options create new challenges that CSPs need Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management tools to address. WeDo is capable of serving the increased need for revenue assurance solutions generated by LTE deployments and roaming, while its analytics applications-based approach into non-Revenue Assurance / Fraud Management parts of the analytics market enable it to compete with more general-purpose based tools that require greater professional services support.”

“We are thrilled by this recognition from Analysys Mason, which is testament to the success of recent expansion and strengthened capabilities in new geographical markets such as North America. Our heritage in telecoms is continuing to grow and we are looking forward to continuing to drive forward our next-generation Enterprise Business Assurance solutions and services across multiple industries,” said WeDo Technologies CEO RuiPaiva.
