Executive Team Responds to Lambert’s Resignation

“I fully understand and respect Ben’s desire to make some significant changes to his lifestyle,” said Peter Leathem. “He has had 12 highly successful years at PPL but having relocated his family to Devon a number of years ago, understandably he now wishes to spend more time with them as they continue to grow up. His contribution to the company in his time has been enormous. I have very much valued his input and insight as CFO across a wide range of the company’s activities and I know I speak on behalf of the board when I say that he will be greatly missed.”

Lambert Reflects on His Time at PPL

“I’ve had an amazing twelve years at PPL and it’s been a privilege and a remarkable experience to be part of the team that has transformed PPL from the company it was when I joined to the success story it is today,” said Ben Lambert.  “I have learned much and worked with some incredible people and must thank Fran and Peter for all their support over the years. It is a very difficult decision to take but, as everyone that knows me, also knows that I am both determined and single-minded! I will be back, but, at the moment, I need to step aside temporarily, develop some commercial interests of my own and spend a bit more time with my family.”

“Ben’s contribution to the transformation and success of PPL over the years cannot be overstated, especially as he became probably the youngest finance chief so early on in his career,” said Fran Nevrkla, Chairman, PPL. “His presence and his direct, robust style will be sorely missed but we all wish him much success, enjoyment and fun in the future, coupled with family happiness. May the Devon sun never stop shining on Ben and may his surfboard never stay dry!”
