Heather Jones Named Director of Operations
Situs, a global provider of commercial real estate advisory services and integrated process and technology solutions announced the appointment of Heather Jones as Director of Operations for Europe.
Scope of Jones’s New Responsibilities
In her new role, Ms. Jones will be responsible for the coordination of all operational requirements including policies and procedures, internal compliance, best practices, business continuity, technology enhancements, and infrastructure needs. Based in the company’s London office, Ms. Jones will join as a member of the senior management team reporting to Bruce Nelson, Chief Operating Officer.
Growth and Demand in European Operations
Situs’ European operation continues to grow as a consequence of strong demand for loan servicing and real estate debt advisory services following continuing investor demand for loan portfolios and strong growth in new loan origination from banks and other financial institutions.

Heather Jones’s Industry Expertise
A seasoned real estate industry veteran, Ms. Jones brings to the firm an expertise in driving global expansion through forging cross-cultural communications and leading operations and compliance implementation strategy. Prior to joining Situs, Ms. Jones spent more than 15 years developing and implementing operational policy and procedure including strategic internal compliance policies, managing operational procedure implementation, policy rollouts, segmentation analysis and annual risk assessment for various cross border companies.

Previous Experience and Career Background
Ms. Jones joins Situs from Auction.com, where she served as a Co-Head of Business Development, focused on building operations and developing business strategy in Europe. Prior to Auction.com, she held the position of Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Origination at Credit Suisse, where she was responsible for rebuilding the business by implementing operational procedures and working with internal risk oversight teams to update compliance policies and procedures. She earned her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Georgia and is active in a number of philanthropic organisations such as Women for Women International (WfWI) and Impetus – The Private Equity Foundation.
