LaShann DeArcy Hall Nominated to Bench

Morrison & Foerster announced that LaShann DeArcy Hall has been nominated by President Obama to serve on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

The White House announced the nomination on November 12, 2014. In a statement, President Obama said of Ms. DeArcy Hall and his other nominee: “I am honoured to put forward these highly qualified candidates for the federal bench.  They will be distinguished public servants and valuable additions to the United States District Court.”

The nomination will go before the U.S. Senate for confirmation.

DeArcy Hall’s Role at Morrison & Foerster

Ms. DeArcy Hall joined Morrison & Foerster’s New York office in 2010. With over a decade of experience as a trial lawyer, she has represented Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes, complex commercial litigation.  While at Morrison & Foerster, Ms. DeArcy Hall also served as a commissioner with the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics, which has oversight over the state’s executive and legislative branches’ compliance with ethics and lobbying laws, regulations, and guidance and as a commissioner of the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission.
