Movius Interactive Corporation, a global leader in mobile identities and converged messaging solutions, announced that it has completed a $13 million financing round led by PointGuard Ventures. New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Anschutz Investments also participated in this round. Proceeds will be used to fulfill and accelerate the company’s growth plans associated with its next generation mobile applications platform known as CAFÉ (Communication Applications Framework Engine).

“The successful closing of this financing round reflects the continued success and enthusiastic market response we have seen regarding our CAFÉ platform and its market leading applications, like our myIdentities solution,” said Dominic Gomez, CEO of Movius. “With an existing customer base of over 150 global carriers, we are now uniquely positioned to continue our leadership and capitalize on two significant market opportunities – convergence of messaging and the need for personalizing distinct lifestyles securely and easily on one mobile device.”

A holistic multiple identities management service is setting Movius apart in this space, which is projected to grow to a market of over $20 billion USD over the next two to three years. The company’s patented myIdentities solution is proving a compelling approach to address this burgeoning market without any need for multiple handsets or any dependence on existing or multiple SIMs. Its applicability in the consumer/SOHO/small enterprise space, as well as the medium to large enterprise markets, is expected to drive significant growth for the company going forward.

Krish Panu, Managing Director of PointGuard Ventures, said: “Powered by a cutting edge, cloud-based, scalable software platform, Movius is creating disruptive new mobile application services in the mobile identity and converged messaging spaces. Movius is well poised to be a leader in the high potential ‘Identities as a Service’ market, which will bring together personal communications applications like multi-media voice/messaging and the much needed end-user convenience and security in this Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) era. We are extremely excited to be partnering with the Movius team to help them fulfil their mission of delivering these unique services in truly Over the Top (OTT) like fashion and creating a compelling value proposition for service providers around the world.”
