Managed services specialist is a ‘contender’ in IDC MarketScape Report focused on network virtualization and SDN
Logicalis is well positioned to compete against larger rivals and technology vendors in the nascent network virtualization and Software Defined Networking markets, according to the IDC MarketScape report – ‘Western European Network Virtualization Solutions 2013 Vendor Assessment’.
The report said: “Particularly impressive was Logicalis’ integration of network virtualization within its future portfolio. It is a specialist in services, and it sees virtualization as a key plank necessary within its entire portfolio.”
LOGICALIS Positioned As Trusted Sdn Technology And Business Advisor In IDC MARKETSCAPE ReportWith an annual turnover of around $1.5 billion and the smallest business in the report, Logicalis is positioned as a contender by IDC, thanks to its “dynamism, early commitment, and vision within the network virtualization market.”
Crucially, IDC assessed Logicalis as offering a credible alternative to competitors assessed in the report, because of its ability to act as a trusted technology and business advisor:
“Logicalis will offer a credible alternative not only to technology-focused players such as VMware, Juniper, and Cisco, but will also differ from companies such as HP, IBM and Accenture. As such, it has its own niche within the competitive landscape. Its size and focus puts Logicalis in a good position to be a trusted technology and business advisor for network virtualization, especially to companies that feel technology vendors do not understand their business processes and that the larger systems integrators are too big to care.”
