INFORMED FUNDING SELECTS MVINE AS TECHNOLOGY PARTNER FOR NEW FINANCE-RAISING PORTAL
Informed Funding, a new online information resource designed to help growing businesses identify their options for raising finance, has appointed next-generation enterprise portals provider, Mvine as its technology partner of choice.
Mvine will design, build, deliver and operate the new online ecosystem which will enable businesses seeking out funding to engage with organisations looking to provide it.
“There were two main reasons for choosing Mvine,” says Chris Dines, CEO, Informed Funding. “First, Mvine brings a breadth of experience in developing, growing and operating community portals built up over many years. Second, we’ve been using the Mvine Private Business Networks platform within our parent company, Knowledge Peers to help drive our high grade learning network – and we’ve been very pleased with the value it has delivered.”
Frank Joshi, co-founder and managing director, Mvine says; “We are delighted to be able to play a key role in helping to develop and provide this innovative new portal.
“The funding market is increasingly fragmented and if you are a company searching for funding, it’s difficult to identify all available options,” he adds. “That’s where with our help, Informed Funding can benefit users by giving users a single place to go to find out about funding options and identify potential sources of funds.
“At Mvine, we make this possible through our unique ecosystem offering, which can host interested parties looking to come together across the cloud and provide them with a space that allows them to securely interact,” continues Joshi. ”Not only can our platform be adapted and flexed as Informed Funding’s business grows, we can even reconfigure the technology to meet their evolving needs as the proposition develops.”
The Informed Funding site offers a combination of bite-sized factual information and guidance, along with self-service online tools that enable users to hone in on the providers that best match their needs. For companies seeking to understand their options, Informed Funding offers plain-English information on how the various sorts of finance work, how companies qualify for them and what they typically cost.
The service also provides a suite of online tools that help companies to specify their needs in some detail and how to search the market for suitable providers, as well as the opportunity to read feedback and insights from other companies using it.
In addition, Informed Funding will benefit the finance providers themselves by offering them an important platform for their brand while enabling them to identify and convert new commercial finance opportunities. Each investment organisation will have their own micro-site on the portal, allowing them to present their services and solutions, while also allowing these to be located and searched by businesses looking for finance.
The Informed Funding site has been established by Knowledge Peers, a specialist in developing online, P2P knowledge-sharing networks, including the Alternative Funding Network and Charity Leaders’ Exchange, with key support from Workspace PLC, the FTSE-250 listed provider of commercial space for thousands of growing companies in and around London.
