GXS Joins NACHA Global Payments Forum
Company to help Further Association’s Strategic International Payments Initiatives
Sunbury, UK — March 15, 2013 —
, today announced that it has joined the NACHA Global Payments Forum (GPF), leading innovative global payment advancements through effective information exchange, innovative thinking and strong member collaboration.
“With mobile payments, SEPA compliance, data security, alternative payments and payments innovation, international payments continue to grow in complexity,” said Patricia Hines, director of financial services industry marketing at GXS. “We are excited to join the GPF and have the opportunity to exchange information with banks, central banks, corporations and other technology providers to contribute to strategic international payments initiatives.”
The GPF enables members to share information and ideas on what is happening in their respective countries to help facilitate electronic payments. Members also influence the development, amendment, and approval of changes to the global and Payment Operating Rules. As a new member of the GPF, GXS will be participating in the next bi-annual meeting of the GPF from March 19-20 in Vienna, Austria.
The GPF is affiliated with NACHA, the electronic payments association that manages the development, administration, and governance of the US ACH Network. The backbone for the electronic movement of money and data, the ACH Network provides a safe, secure, and reliable network for direct account-to-account consumer, business, and government payments. As a not-for-profit association, NACHA represents more than 10,000 financial institutions via 17 regional payments associations and direct membership.
