Customers and partners use annual UK security industry event to discuss the Perimeter of One

NTT Com Security Hosts World Cup Referee

Global information security and risk management company, NTT Com Security, plays host to Premier League and World Cup referee, Howard Webb at its annual information security event this year.  Information Security World 2014, which takes place on 21 October in London, is expected to attract hundreds of NTT Com Security partners and customers to discuss why we need to adapt traditional information security thinking and unite around the ‘Perimeter of One’.

Expert Panel Shares Security Insights

Webb joins Head of IT Security and Risk at Old Mutual Wealth, Ben de la Salle, and Head of the European Cybercrime Centre, Troels Oerting, to discuss their unique insights into the way we respond to incidents in the public eye.  A police sergeant for South Yorkshire Police and awarded an MBE in 2011, Webb retired from a 25-year career after the World Cup to become the new technical director of the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO).

Journalist and broadcaster, Juliet Morris, will facilitate the one-day event, while Neal Lillywhite, SVP Northern Europe, NTT Com Security, introduces the concept of the Perimeter of One and invites the assembled group of senior security professionals to discuss how thinking needs to adapt to new ways of working and the need to align security and risk to business goals.

Changing Landscape of Information Security

“The way we work and the way we access information is changing fast and we are becoming more demanding in terms of service availability and delivery,” says Neal Lillywhite, SVP Northern Europe, NTT Com Security.  “We need to adapt our traditional information security thinking and infrastructure to cope with these changes and focus instead on one security strategy, with a model that supports business change and plans ahead for incident response.”

Event Focus: Real-Time Threat Intelligence

This year’s event will focus on the challenges facing global organisations and the growing need for real-time threat intelligence and analysis and will include technical demonstrations, including an APT simulation and break out sessions on Incident Response, Malware and Risk Insight.  NTT Com Security, which delivers managed security services (MSS) capabilities via its WideAngle platform, will also present MSS case studies.  Information Security World 2014 takes place at 200 Aldersgate, St Paul’s on 21 October 2014.
