True Potential Adviser Conference Overview

The countdown to the annual True Potential adviser conference has begun with the announcement that Jim O’Neill, Chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, will be a keynote speaker at the event.

Innovative financial services and technology provider, True Potential, will welcome 1,000 independent financial advisers (IFAs) and industry leaders to the ICC in Birmingham on Wednesday, 6 March for the conference on the theme New world. New possibilities. Maximising success in the new market.

Event Growth and Industry Focus

It is the third edition of the conference and True Potential’s founder and managing partner, David Harrison, said he expects this to be the largest conference yet. He added that it will explore changes in the adviser industry and financial markets and opportunities offered by emerging technologies.

He said: “There has been a great deal of change in the pensions and investment industry both from a regulatory and market development standpoint and we can expect a lot more in the coming few years.

“The aim of the True Potential conference is to give IFAs a thought-provoking event that explores ways in which they can take advantage of the opportunities that these changes have created.”

Keynote Speakers and Conference Highlights

Keynote speaker O’Neill is best known for coining the term BRIC, a reference to the fast-emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China and is a highly-regarded authority on the opportunities and strategies for successful investing in emerging countries. He said recently that the global financial economy will be stronger in 2013 than many people expect.

As well as high profile speakers such as O’Neill and Harrison (with others still to be announced), the conference will also hold a number of breakout sessions for advisers to explore the themes topics in greater detail. For existing True Potential clients, there will also be one-to-one sessions with Technical, Compliance and Implementation staff.

Additional Benefits for IFAs

The conference, which offers IFAs valuable CPD points, is free to attend.
