COMMITMENT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY EARNS ORDER OF DISTINCTION FOR MOOVE LUBRICANTS

Moove gets 20th consecutive Gold at the RoSPA Health & Safety Awards

COMMA-Port-Logo Moove Lubricants (Manufacturer of Comma Oil) has distinguished itself for the 20th consecutive year after earning another Gold award and the Order of Distinction, for its exemplary Health & Safety service, at the prestigious RoSPA Awards. The award is due to be presented on Wednesday July 12th.

The annual awards, run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, celebrate organisations with the most outstanding health and safety records. Judges consider entrants with overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

The RoSPA Order of Distinction is awarded for winning 20 consecutive Gold honours, and is the second highest achievement given by the family-safety charity.

With an innovative and comprehensive safety system at the heart of Moove’s operations, the world-renowned manufacturer and supplier of automotive lubricants and chemicals has been setting industry standards in employee safety for decades.

moove-2 SIGO, a 14-part safety control system that effectively protects the health and safety of staff, contractors and other key stakeholders, has allowed Moove to operate for 21 years without an LTI (Lost Time Injury) accident.

The SIGO system provides an expansive health and safety umbrella, including the coordination of personnel training, management of the laboratory & QCC records, and conducting of incident investigation and maintenance – all whilst lowering the environmental impact at every stage of the business.

Order-of-Distinction-2017Julia Small, Head of Awards and Events at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, commented: “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat.”

Mike Bewsey, Sales & Marketing Director at Moove Lubricants, added: “We have long been pioneering the importance of health and safety in the industry, and to have received our 20th consecutive Gold award is testament to that commitment.

“A major part of our success in manufacturing high-quality lubricants is the level of detail in which we go to at every stage of the process. That intricacy translates directly to our health and safety programme, which goes as far as possible to ensure it is one of the safest places to work in our industry.”
