Co3 SYSTEMS LAUNCHES AUTOMATED SECURITY INCIDENT RESPONSE IN EUROPE
- World’s leading solution for managing security and privacy events now available to users across Europe
- Software brings together people, process and technology to prepare, assess, manage, and mitigate security and privacy incidents – users are handling incidents in one tenth of the time
- Launch of European channel programme
Co3 Systems, the leader in Incident Response Management Systems, today announced its launch in Europe.
Spurred by local demand and backed by clients, including some of the best-known companies with business operations around the world, the company is marking the launch with private demonstrations during Infosecurity Europe, April 29th– 1st of May. On show will be live demonstrations of cyber incident and data breach response handling along with attack simulations and fire drills.
The launch is extremely timely. Security incidents are increasing in frequency and complexity and the forthcoming European data protection legislation will place a 72-hour timeframe on regulatory reporting, obliging consumer notification ‘without undue delay.’ It furthermore follows the striking down of data retention rules for electronic communication providers by the European Court of Justice, which is set to complicate organisations’ data retention policies and consequently, breach response obligations.
John Bruce, CEO at Co3 Systems said:
“We’ve already closed our first European customers and started building a pipeline without any local sales presence or marketing program. In exactly the same way that we’ve experienced demand in the US, this is a testament to the need in the market for a better way to manage incident response.”
“Best practices for handling incident responses need both to evolve constantly and to be hard wired into organisations, to ensure that remediation and reporting is timely, compliant and technically effective.”
Bruce Schneier, CTO at Co3 Systems added:
“I have long advocated that good security is about the balance between prevention, detection and response. Having one without the other makes no sense. What we’ve built is the first software to bring people and technology together to provide resilient response.”
In addition, Co3 Systems is launching a European channel programme. It has already partnered with specialist actionable cyber intelligence service provider, OpenSecure.
Garath Lauder, Managing Director, OpenSecure explained:
“Quite simply, people need to know what to do when a cyber attack or breach happens. So we think that there is real need, and a real opportunity. We are excited to be the first service provider in Europe to offer an automated, end to end remediation and reporting workflow.”
