UK GOVERNMENT CTO LIAM MAXWELL AND MICROSOFT’S ADRIENNE HALL JOIN IP EXPO EUROPE’S OUTSTANDING SPEAKER LINE-UP
IP EXPO Europe, Europe’s leading cloud and IT infrastructure event, announces that government CTO Liam Maxwell and Microsoft’s general manager in Trustworthy Computing, Adrienne Hall will be keynote speakers at the event on 8th-9th October this year. Maxwell will speak at IP EXPO Europe’s keynote theatre, whilst Hall will present at Cyber Security EXPO’s keynote theatre.
Since his appointment in 2012, Liam Maxwell has become known for reforming IT management and protocols throughout government, challenging existing norms and ever looking towards future trends in industry. Offering a unique perspective on public sector IT issues and addressing key concerns regarding public services in the cloud, Liam is set to deliver an energising and enlightening talk at IP EXPO Europe for professionals across the IT spectrum.
Maxwell’s speech is expected to examine how the UK Government can build world-class digital services, saving time and money and stimulating a generation of world-beating British software and service businesses that can save billions for the taxpayer – provided that services are based on user needs. Underpinning Government work is a belief in openness everywhere – commitment to open standards and sharing work, methods, code and data. Being open levels the playing field so that all sorts of technologies and all sorts of suppliers can work with government.
Adrienne Hall is a general manager in Microsoft’s Trustworthy Computing group. She is a Cloud Security Alliance board member as well as a founding member of the Executive Women’s Forum for Security, Privacy and Risk Management Professionals. Tapping into her experience on how the cloud is shifting the way businesses think about IT, from reducing operational costs to freeing up resources in order to focus on innovation in a mobile-first, cloud-first world, Adrienne will offer unique insights at this year’s Cyber Security EXPO for any forward-thinking senior information security professionals and IT managers. She will also share Microsoft’s approach to providing secure and private cloud services in a world where trust is continually challenged.
Both of these speakers add to the already impressive line-up of speakers for the two day event, which includes inventor of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, creator of Hadoop, Doug Cutting and security and privacy guru, Bruce Schneier.
Liam Maxwell will speak at the IP EXPO Europe keynote theatre on 8th October at 1pm. Adrienne Hall will speak at the Cyber Security EXPO keynote theatre, also on 8th October, at 16:20pm.
