Oracle and Mannai Sponsor Big Data & Analytics Learning Opportunities

Two full days of intensive Big Data training will be held in Doha on June 7 and 8: master-classes expressly created to help Qatari organizations understand this complex technology’s challenges and rewards.

The first QATAR BIG DATA & ANALYTICS WORKSHOPS will take place at the Doha Marriott Hotel on Sunday June 7 and Monday June 8, 2015. International experts will demystify, explain and teach how Big Data and Analytics are driving efficiency, cutting waste and improving the bottom-line for companies.

According to recent research, Qatar Governmental and private organizations are among major ‘early adopters’ of Big Data & Analytics in the region. Leading Qatari institutions are now hiring proven analytics managers and investing in new analytics programmes and products.

However this is not the case everywhere. “There are many managers in Qatar who realize that making use of Big Data creates serious challenges – but they are not sure how to tackle the issue,” said Kumar Ramanujam, Director of Conferences for TMC of Dubai, the organizers. “These workshop master-classes are for them!”

The Premier Sponsors of the Workshops are Oracle and Mannai: two organizations dedicated to business innovation based on integrity and expertise.

MrBinu M.R., Vice President, Mannai Software Division, commented: “We have the infrastructure and intellectual capabilities to answer the question facing many CEOs in Qatar – which is ‘how can we benefit from the new efficiencies promised through Big Data?’”

He also confirmed the ownership of the extremely powerful Big Data appliance which is engineered to crunch large datasets that produce meaningful data insights.

Mr. Binu concluded: “This will usher in an age of new dynamics in social, economic and institutional spheres. These carefully planned workshops will offer an ideal opportunity to assess and learn.”

In March 2015 the event’s organizers, TMC, launched and managed the highly successful 1st GCC BIG DATA SUMMIT in Dubai. Two of the most impactful presenters at the Dubai event will be bringing their expertise direct to Doha from world-leading companies.

From California comes Professor Mouwafac Sidaoui, Chairman of Business Analytics & Information Systems at San Francisco University School of Management. He will focus on “BIG DATA ANALYTICS AND DATA VISUALISATION” – demonstrating how graphical depictions of Big Data drive new business opportunities, using advanced analytics. He will show how data visualization tools can convert enormous data sets to increase business understanding.

Dr Satyam Priyadarshy, Chief Data Scientist of Halliburton in Texas, will tackle “BIG DATA ANALYTICS AND DATA SCIENCE” – showing how the vast amounts of data created from emerging technologies can be effective in creating the right business value. Dr Satyam’s unique process to create that value will be demonstrated, with suitable use cases.

Oracle and Mannai will present proven Big Data, Video Intelligence and Business Analytics solutions that will benefit both public and private sector organisations.

Delegates will include senior Qatar Government officials, CEOs, COOs, CXOs, CIOs, Oil & Gas experts, professionals from the Finance industry, Marketing and Sales Managers.
