THE B2 GROUP
Operating since 2001, payments software and services specialist B2 Group has serviced 14 of the world’s top 20 banks and continues to have many banking customers, alongside over 300 corporates. B2 combines integration expertise, rapid time to market and state-of-the-art flexible technology options. The firm advises on corporate client ‘on-boarding’, enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration, payments standards, automated clearing house (ACH) integration, and training, documentation and channel consolidation. B2 also offers its “Channel Suite” of tools to simulate testing and automate the on-boarding process for large and small clients alike, and the “GTS” (Global Transaction Service) platform for automated connectivity between banks and corporate clients. This can link to many ERP, bank, FX and clearing systems, and is available as a hosted or on-site solution. GTS runs on-site with many banks, but B2 Group also operates secure, financially regulated availability data centres to host its software for clients, and besides payments, specialises in FX STP and Investment Funds processing automation.

Phil Boland, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of B2 Group, is a well known and experienced figure in the field of institutional financial services (FS) straight-through processing (STP) technology arena. Prior to co-founding independent software vendor AB Prodata shortly after the millennium – and thereby bringing to market the ‘Babel Integrator’ investment funds STP platform – Boland held executive, operational and technical positions at UBS London and Clearstream Luxembourg during an FS career that spans three decades, Boland has experience across a wide range of asset classes, including equity and fixed income clearing and settlement, funds and cash management.
