SUE KERSHAW WINS LEADER IN INFRASTRUCTURE AWARD
KPMG’s Sue Kershaw has won the Leader in Infrastructure award at the prestigious FTA every woman in Transport and Logistics Award ceremony held in London on the 21st June 2017.
Sue Kershaw, managing director within KPMG’s infrastructure practice, was recognised for her achievements in a 30 year career, as well as championing equality, diversity and inclusion in her professional and voluntary work.
Congratulating Sue, Richard Threlfall, head of infrastructure, building and construction at KPMG, said: “Sue has a proven track record as a leader in securing and delivering large scale and high profile infrastructure projects. This award is a testament for all her hard work over the past 30 years and the important work she has done in championing equality and diversity.
“The industry lacks a gender balance and lot more needs to be done to improve that. Awards like this not only recognise the great women we have in the industry, but acts a catalyst to encourage more women to join the industry and do great things like Sue has done.”
Commenting on her achievement, Sue Kershaw said: “I am delighted to have received this award. This is a testament to all the great people that I have worked with, especially at KPMG. I truly believe in the work I do, particularly in improving diversity and equality not only in our industry, but also in society in general. Thank you to everyone that nominated me and supported me to win.”
The Leader in Infrastructure award recognises a woman who is innovating or excelling in their role within transportation and infrastructure.
