Gartner Inc.’s July 2016 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools places SAS in its Leaders quadrant, based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. This is the sixth year that SAS has been named a leader.

“We are delighted to be announced as a Leader for the sixth year consecutive year. This recognition highlights our continued efforts to enhance SAS’ integration capabilities with a variety of data sources such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala and Amazon Redshift,” said Hugo D’Ulisse, Head of Analytical Platform, SAS UK & Ireland.

“Inclusion in this year’s quadrant emphasises SAS’ reliability, as well as robustness and effectiveness when it comes to data integration execution. Alongside our data integration offerings, we also have the capacity to provide exceptional support to ensure our customers are always getting the most out of their data”, D’Ulisse added.

According to Gartner, “Data integration remains central to enterprises’ information infrastructure. However, in the age of digital business, along with the growing demand for autonomous and user-initiated algorithmic processes, data integration is feeling pressure to become far more fluid and dynamic. Integration as a post deployment effort is being replaced by demands for active information management. Applications are no longer permitted to be silos first and integrated second.”

Thousands of organisations use SAS® Data Integration offerings including SAS Data Management, SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Data Leader for Hadoop, SAS Event Stream Processing and SAS Federation Server to enhance analytical and operational efficiencies. SAS Data Integration technology helps users boost productivity, share the workload between business and IT users and be confident that data is ready for use.

The report’s authors note that “Enterprises pursuing frictionless sharing of data are increasingly favoring tools that are flexible in that they can be designed once for delivery across multiple platforms, mixed architectural and broad deployment without significant rework.”
