McLaren has revealed its full line-up for Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018, presented by Mastercard – and it’s packed with past legends and future stars.

The impressive McLaren roster of drivers includes F1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi, who won the 1974 world title with the team and is also a two-time Indy 500 winner. Joining him behind the wheel of McLaren’s competition cars up the famous hill will be current McLaren star Stoffel Vandoorne, and test and reserve driver Lando Norris. Vandoorne is currently in his second full season with the Woking team while 18-year-old Formula 2 driver Norris is a member of McLaren’s Young Driver Programme, having won the European Formula 3 title last season.

Double F1 world champion and fan favourite Mika Hakkinen, who won back-to-back titles for McLaren in 1998 and 1999, will also be in attendance at the Festival of Speed.

To complete McLaren’s exciting line-up, 2003 Indy 500 champion and adviser to the McLaren team, Gil De Ferran, and Rudy Van Buren, winner of McLaren World’s Fastest Gamer competition will also be taking part at the Festival. Van Buren beat more than 30,000 contestants in the esports event last year and is now one of the F1 team’s official simulator drivers for the 2018 season.

The Festival is renowned for attracting the best cars and most famous drivers in motoring. The 2018 running of the event is set to be no different as Goodwood marks its Silver Jubilee having been staged every summer since 1993.

The FOS Future Lab will also be open again this year, focusing on space exploration, autonomous transport, robotics and personal flight. Visitors will be able to view displays and demonstrations, interact with some of the technology for themselves and learn more about these exciting innovations.
