Joelson to support and judge LatAm Edge Awards for second year in a row
Joelson, one of London’s leading law firms, has announced that it will once again be supporting the LatAm Edge Awards.
The annual competition offers innovative Latin American tech companies – with revenues or investments of more than $1 million (US) per year – the chance to pitch in London to a panel of experts in order to win access to services worth more than £110,000 in the UK.
The prize includes an accountancy package, prime positioning for investment, advice from a coaching consultancy and marketing support in order to prepare the winner for expansion in the UK.
Joelson will be joining a number of backers of the awards, which include the likes of London & Partners and the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, to support the event and will help by advising the winning entrepreneurs on the legal aspects of future investment opportunities.
Alongside the investment advice, Joelson’s team will also be on hand to provide tech entrepreneurs with advice on legal matters ranging from visa arrangements for foreign business leaders, through to the review of legal documents.
Paul Chiappe, Corporate and Commercial Partner at Joelson will be part of the judging panel selecting this year’s winners. He previously attended and supported the award in 2017.
He said: “We are delighted to once again be supporting the LatAm Edge Awards. The competition in 2018 was strong and we saw some innovative firm’s bringing great ideas to the table, so hopefully this year we will be judging similarly impressive pitches.
“We have a lot of experience helping international businesses enter the UK’s thriving tech industry, particularly those from Latin America, and I hope that we can help those pitching at these awards for a second year running.”
Last year’s competition was won by Round Pegs – a leading Brazilian tech company that helps large corporations integrate entrepreneurship into their existing operations.
The final LatAm Edge Awards 2018 pitch will take place in London on 14 June.
