Hampshire Trust Bank enhances broker service with new appointment in South East

Hampshire Trust Bank, the specialist bank, has appointed Stuart Urquhart as Business Development Manager in its Asset Finance team.

Stuart will focus on supporting and building broker relationships across South East England. This is the latest appointment to the bank’s growing regional business development team, which provides on-the-ground support to brokers across the UK.

Vincenzo Scalzone, Head of Broker, Asset Finance, at Hampshire Trust Bank, said: “In order to ensure we provide our brokers with a best-in-class service, it’s vital we employ people with in-depth experience of the market and Stuart is a welcome addition to our growing team.”

Prior to joining Hampshire Trust Bank, Stuart was Commercial Partnership Manager at Spotcap UK and before that worked in a number of different positions at Aldermore Bank.

Talking about why he decided to join Hampshire Trust Bank, Stuart said: “I’m impressed by Hampshire Trust Bank’s commitment to providing an exemplary service to its brokers. Not only has it invested heavily in its digital proposition, launching a document generation service on its web portal just this month, the bank also invests in its people, which means brokers have access to specialists that truly understand the market. As a result, credit decisions are now being made in less than four hours and the team is consistently delivering same day pay outs. Now that’s impressive.

“I’m excited to be working for a bank that is keen to do more business with brokers, that has expanded its risk appetite and is interested in exploring specialist sectors of the market. I am looking forward to getting out there, meeting with brokers and discussing how we can work together.”
