ERP software vendor Greentree International has today announced the launch of its software-as-a-service offering, Greentree-as-a-Service (GaaS). It allows customers to run their Greentree system in the cloud and scale-up and scale-down their user base in an agile and fluid manner, as required. The launch is the natural extension of Greentree’s ERP software being hosted in the cloud since 2002. With the addition of Greentree-as-a-Service, Greentree now offers three deployment methods for its ERP solution: on-premise, cloud-hosted and as-a-service. This will allow Greentree’s current and future customers to choose the deployment method that best supports their business goals.
“For most mid-market enterprises, their business management systems are absolutely mission-critical. Most companies have made a significant investment in legacy systems and data and are, quite rightly, cautious when engaging with new technology platforms,” explains Harry Mowat, Managing Director, Greentree Software UK. “But we are now seeing the balance swing in favour of the convenience, flexibility and minimal upfront capital requirements of as-a-service approaches. With Greentree-as-a-Service, we want to make it as easy as possible for mid-size businesses to take advantage of the benefits our software offers. At the same time, we’ve worked hard to ensure our as-a-service option offers the exact same functionality, configurability and flexibility that our customers receive through other deployment options.”
The new deployment method will be available as a monthly subscription, which will include the Greentree4 software, cloud hosting, maintenance and a range of other services. In addition, Greentree-as-a-Service users will benefit from a single tenant hosting environment delivered through a high performance cloud platform, optimised for supporting ERP deployments. UK customers will also benefit from a UK-based hosting node, ensuring optimum performance is maintained.
As with the other Greentree Software deployment methods, Greentree-as-a-Service is available through the Greentree partner community. All Greentree partners offering Greentree-as-a-Service have received training to deploy Greentree4 via the new platform.
