FISERV APPOINTS MARC MATHENZ AS MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR ASIA PACIFIC

In this role, he will be responsible for business development, sales and marketing, operations and building customer relationships for the region.

Mathenz brings to Fiserv his strong background in business and corporate development as well as operations. He has a demonstrable track record of managerial excellence and shareholder value creation with experience working for blue chip leaders in financial services, financial technology, payments services, professional and business services as well as software. In addition, he has experience in the private equity and early stage venture capital sector and co-founded a successful technology corporate finance advisory business.

Mathenz joins Fiserv from First Data where he was senior vice president (SVP), head of Asia Pacific for the last four years, responsible for managing the First Data business across 12 countries. Mathenz transferred to Singapore as the Chief Financial Officer, Asia Pacific, a role he held for about four years prior to becoming SVP, Head of Asia Pacific.

Before joining First Data, Mathenz held a number of senior posts based in London at Henderson Private Capital Ltd, GorillaPark Ltd, Tomkins Plc and Credit Suisse First Boston.

He received a Master’s in Business Administration from London Business School, U.K., and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Goizuetta Business School at Emory University, USA. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
