FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS GET THE LOW DOWN ON FUNDING OPTIONS WITH HELP FROM JOELSON
Some of the country’s leading female entrepreneurs have heard from a panel of experts about the funding issues most likely to affect them at the latest SheWorx 100 Summit – sponsored by leading law firm Joelson.
Philippa Sturt, a Partner at the London-based practice, joined hundreds of female company founders and around 20 investors at the SheWorx 100 Summit, which attracts more than 600 women to three events at cities around the world each year.
As a specialist in start-ups and early stage funding and a supporter of the event, Philippa was invited to the London conference held on 7 June 2017, which was entitled “How SheWorx is Closing the Funding Gap through Inclusion”.
During the event, participants heard from a panel of investors and had a chance to question investors and VCs before breaking out into groups to discuss issues affecting female entrepreneurs.
Speaking after the event Philippa said: “I was delighted to be able to attend the SheWorx Summit in London. It was great to be among such an enthusiastic and inspiring group of female entrepreneurs and the event as a whole provided an excellent platform for them to comfortably discuss issues which specifically effect women entrepreneurs, particularly those relating to funding.
“Joelson was an official partner of the Sheworx event and it has allowed us to meet a number of top entrepreneurial thinkers, so I would like to extend a thank you to the organisers for inviting us to join them at this year’s summit. SheWorx is doing vital work, providing a support platform for young female entrepreneurs that is much needed.”
