Fleet contenders from SEAT proved to be one of the star attractions at this week’s Company Car in Action event, as a 10-strong fleet of demonstrators were put to the test at Millbrook Proving Ground over the two days.

Driving the potent Leon ST CUPRA 280 gave visitors the opportunity to experience a truly unique company car proposition with genuine pace. The Leon ST CUPRA 280 is capable of transporting its occupants and ample luggage to 62 MPH in just 6.1 seconds, but still returns over 40 MPG on the combined cycle.

For visitors keen to explore terrains beyond the tarmac another CCIA newcomer, the Leon X-PERIENCE in SE Technology guise was the ideal companion for ventures further afield. The latest addition to the Leon family brings genuine off-road ability and a comprehensive specification, but the 2.0 TDI 184 PS engine still achieves a combined 57.6 MPG and a CO2 figure of 129 grams per kilometre.

The extended SEAT family, though familiar faces at Company Car in Action remain at the front of the class for driving enjoyment, style and efficiency. The award-winning Leon Hatchback was out in force in 2.0 TDI 184 FR Technology and 2.0 TSI 280 DSG CUPRA form, again proving popular on Millbrook’s test routes.

Also on show was SEAT’s city car, the Mii. The distinctive Mii by MANGO edition turned heads alongside the sporty Ibiza FR supermini and Alhambra MPV, both of which are due to benefit from extensive updates including all-new engines for the coming model year.

COMPANY CAR IN ACTION PUTS LATEST SEATS TO THE TEST

Jason Coleman, National Fleet Manager at SEAT commented: “Company Car in Action is a fantastic opportunity to us to demonstrate the breadth of talent in our range of cars.

“The current SEAT range has been enhanced further by the additions of ST CUPRA 280 and Leon X-PERIENCE. These are genuinely exciting vehicles that employees will look forward to driving.

“The appeal of SEAT isn’t at the cost of environmental credentials however; with BIK ratings starting at 14% and emissions as low as 88g of CO2 per KM, fleet managers can rest assured that adding an injection of fun to the fleet won’t cost the earth.”
