TARTER KRINSKY & DROGIN EXPANDS REAL ESTATE PRACTICE WITH ADDITION OF KEVIN GROARKE AS PARTNER

Tarter Krinsky&Drogin, a leading mid-size, full-service law firm, announced today that Kevin Groarke has joined the firm as a partner in its Real Estate practice. His arrival bolsters the firm’s core strengths in complex real estate transactions for domestic and international clients.

A veteran real estate lawyer, Mr. Groarke’s practice is focused on structuring and implementing acquisitions, dispositions, financing and leasing of commercial property.  His clients include developers, owners, non-US investors, REITs, banks and financial institutions.

Mr. Groarke has represented private, institutional and sovereign investors in investment and joint venture transactions for the acquisition of existing real estate assets and the development or redevelopment of an array of asset types, including office buildings, shopping centers, mixed-use projects, hospitals and other medical facilities, multi-family buildings, data centers, hotels and casinos.

“Kevin is an accomplished real estate lawyer and a valuable addition to our team. His arrival further expands our significant capabilities for clients pursuing real estate projects.” said Alan M. Tarter, Managing Partner. “We are delighted to welcome him to the firm as we continue to strategically grow our practices to meet the growing needs of our clients.”

“Growing client needs across the real estate sector continue to drive the expansion of our practice. Kevin’s substantial experience in acquisitions and development will provide immediate value to our clients,” said William Weisner, chair of the Real Estate practice. “We look forward to making even greater contributions to our clients through Kevin’s robust knowledge and experience in real estate financing transactions.”

“I am excited to join Tarter Krinsky&Drogin and am impressed with the firm’s extensive real estate practice, which includes construction, development and commercial leasing expertise.  I was very attracted to the firm’s full-service platform and significant footprint in New York, which are keys to further growing my practice,” said Mr. Groarke.

Admitted to practice in New York, Mr. Groarke received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, and received his B.A. from Fordham University. Prior to joining Tarter Krinsky&Drogin, Mr. Groarke was a partner at Dentons LLP.

Mr. Groarke’s arrival follows a wave of lateral partner hires to Tarter Krinsky&Drogin, including Charles Miller (Securities and Financial Services Litigation), Michael Grudberg (White Collar and Government Investigations) and Laurie Stanziale (Construction).
