SEYFARTH ADDS CORPORATE PARTNER TOM SCHRAMKOWSKI IN ATLANTA

Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today the arrival of partner Tom Schramkowski to the firm’s Corporate department in Atlanta. Schramkowski joins Seyfarth from Troutman Sanders LLP where he was a corporate partner in their Atlanta office. While there, he was a member of the mergers and acquisitions, closely held business and entrepreneurial services, and corporate governance practice groups.

Schramkowski represents private and public businesses in corporate matters across a wide range of industries such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, energy, real estate, entertainment and hospitality, among others. He regularly advises clients on transactions involving private equity investments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and complex partnerships. Schramkowski has substantial experience in drafting and negotiating complex acquisition agreements, commercial contracts, and partnership and LLC agreements, and frequently counsels businesses on a variety of regulatory and corporate governance issues.

“As we aggressively grow our corporate practice nationally, partners with deep experience in sophisticated transactions like Tom make the platform work,” said Paul Mattingly, chair of Seyfarth’s Corporate department. “We like to build on excellence, and Tom fits perfectly.”

“Tom’s ability to successfully guide clients through the most difficult corporate transactions is well known throughout the community,” said Steve Kennedy, managing partner of Seyfarth’s Atlanta office. “He brings outstanding professional skills and the personal qualities that define great client service. The Atlanta office, and the firm overall, is thrilled to work with a lawyer of his caliber.”

Schramkowski received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Georgia State University Law Review, and earned a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

Schramkowski’s arrival follows the recent addition of partner Julia Jacobson who joined the firm’s Corporate department in Boston. Seyfarth’s Corporate department focuses on areas such as mergers and acquisitions, securities, investment management, corporate counseling, commercial transactions, financing, international business, and tax planning.
