SEP ranked in world’s top 20 VC firms
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has been named as one of the world’s most consistent, top performing venture capital fund managers by Preqin, the data and intelligence specialists for the global alternative assets industry.
SEP, which was founded in 2000, is the only UK firm to be included on the list, alongside three other firms from across Europe.
US firms Battery Ventures, General Catalyst Partners and Kleiner Perkins also feature, together with Beijing based CDH Investments and Tokyo headquartered Future Venture Capital.
Calum Paterson, Managing Partner of SEP, said: “We are committed to being patient, long term and supportive investors, because we think that’s exactly what entrepreneurs need to build great companies. We also believe that this approach has a close correlation with strong and consistent levels of investment performance.”
The global rankings, compiled as part of Preqin’s 2018 Alternative Assets Performance Monitor, consider only those firms who have raised at least three funds and are based on both IRR and fund multiples.
