SAS ACHIEVES TOP RISK TECHNOLOGY RANKING

SAS ranked number 1 for “Enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management”

SAS, the world’s leading analytics provider, has been recognised for its excellence in risk technology after being named best for ‘Enterprise-wide Operational Risk Management’ in the Risk Technology Rankings 2015.

The rankings, run by Risk magazine, acknowledge the work of firms and individuals in the derivatives markets and risk management. They are the longest-running rankings of their kind and are widely regarded as the most prestigious. Winners were recognised at an awards ceremony on Wednesday (January 27) at The Brewery in London.

SAS for enterprise operational risk management (integrated into SAS Enterprise GRC) helps organisations to get an accurate picture of their operational value at risk to then improve risk processes and controls. It also enables businesses to optimise capital allocations, satisfy regulatory requirements, and mitigate the frequency and severity of risk events.

Troy Haines, Senior Vice President of Risk Research and Quantitative Solutions at SAS, said:  “We’re delighted to have been recognised for our expertise in operational risk management solutions. Our solutions help institutions model and compute potential operational loses and value at risk providing a more accurate, forward-looking approach. We address operational risk management holistically by integrating the data management and predictive analytics necessary in today’s complex financial institutions.”

SAS was also among the top five vendors in the following categories of the Risk Technology Rankings 2015 – ‘data’, ‘risk capital calculation’ and ‘high-performance computing’.
