SALES INFORMATION CENTRE OPENS TO SHOWCASE AMEN CORNER DEVELOPMENT BY BELLWAY HOMES
The first release of homes for the much-anticipated development at Amen Corner will go on sale this month (July). Bellway Homes is transforming the area to comprise 377 residential homes, a primary school, 9.9 acres of open parkland for walks, children’s play areas, tree lined boulevards and an adventure trail.
A sales information centre adjacent to the Coppid Beech Hotel on the London Road, in Binfield, will open on Saturday 15th July, where the first 28 homes will be released for sale. These include a selection of two, three and four bedroom houses ranging from terraced, semi-detached and detached homes appealing to a variety of lifestyles. The development will also feature one and two bedroom apartments and five bedroom houses to be released in 2018. Twenty-five percent of the homes will be available through affordable tenures, a mix of rented and shared ownership.
Zoe Dobbs, Sales Manager at Bellway Homes North London comments: “We are excited to be launching this long-awaited development, which showcases a range of homes for those looking to move close to the village of Binfield and the nearby town of Wokingham. We are sensitively transforming the area from vacant car boot fields to a brand new neighbourhood with a range of homes, open spaces and tree lined boulevards.
“With a large waiting list, we’re predicting that these new homes will be popular, especially among families and first-time buyers so would urge potential purchasers to come along to our sales opening and be part of this new beginning for the area.”
Many of the homes on offer provide plenty of space inside and out. The open plan living and dining areas are perfect for families. Homes all come with integrated appliances, en suites to master bedrooms and off-street parking for two cars. Amen Corner will be developed across four key areas, including the residential core at the centre of the site; the London Road interface where homes will be parallel to the street fronted by rows of trees, the woodland edge area that will also include a play area for young children enclosed with low flowering shrubs and a crescent of mews homes that look out onto open space.
Key highway works on London Road began in January, as Bellway creates two new dedicated access roads to the site. As well as the new accesses, works include widening the road, rebuilding the central reservation, and completing the shared footpath/cyclepath along London Road between Binfield and Wokingham.
Ideally located for growing families, these new homes in Binfield are surrounded by a number of schools, including an innovative on site primary school that will create 210 new primary school places from September 2019. The school will include a sports field and hard playground area. Merrydale Day Nursey and Pre-school is just half a mile from the development while two popular primary schools can be reached within a five-minute drive. Older students are served by a number of well-rated high schools, including Ranelagh School, while those pursuing further study many consider the University of Reading, just 15 minutes drive away.
Amen Corner offers a wealth of amenities all close to home. The market town of Wokingham is only a 10 minute drive away offering popular eateries, cafes and leisure facilities. The nearby village of Binfield also provides residents with a parade of independent shops, traditional public houses and restaurants.
Those looking for good transport links won’t be disappointed either. The development is close to good road, rail and bus links to surrounding towns and cities. The A329M is within easy reach and connects with J10 of the M4 providing convenient access to Bracknell, Reading, Slough and London. Bracknell Train Station is just over a five-minute drive away providing services to commuter destinations such as Reading, London Waterloo and Clapham Junction.
