PAYSAFE SCOOPS A STEVIE® AWARD AT THE 2017 INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS
Paysafe takes Silver ahead of over 3,900 entries
Paysafe, a leading global payments provider, has been named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Management Team of the Year category at the 14th Annual International Business Awards – known as “the International Stevies”.
The International Business Awards (IBAs) are the world’s premier business awards programme. All individuals and organisations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2017 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories.
A record total of more than 3,900 nominations from organisations were submitted for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Management Team of the Year and Executive of the Year.
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated on 12 juries.
Judges praised Paysafe for the business’s fast growth under its leadership team – a period in which Paysafe entered the FTSE 250 while also integrating Skrill Group into the organisation. Paysafe’s management team delivered the integration five months ahead of schedule and achieved $40+ million worth of synergies for the organisation.
Dennis Jones, Paysafe’s Chairman said: “This is a much-deserved accolade and the Board is delighted with the focus, determination and energy that our leadership team and employees have demonstrated to help us execute against our strategy. Following a transformational period, we’ve evolved into one company, with one culture in which our management team has done a tremendous work to educate, motivate and encourage our teams to share set of common values.”
Paysafe was also highly praised by judges for the extensive energies of the management team to unify corporate culture in the wake of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) – an often-overlooked element of M&A. Paysafe was also recognised by judges for taking steps to ensure that employee engagement and commitment to Paysafe’s objectives remained strong during a period of positive change.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain on 21 October.
