Ongoing Commitment to Digital Inclusion & Talent Development in Bulgaria

Paysafe Bulgaria will donate over 200 laptops to 11 schools by the end of 2017 providing students from the districts of Vratsa, Kardzhali, Haskovo, Stara Zagora and Montana with the opportunity to learn and work on education-orientated Acer laptops. The schools were selected based on the need of better equipped technical bases.

PaysafeBulgaria, recently ranked by Capital 100 as the largest software company in Bulgaria, is donating laptops worth 100,000BGN as part of a digital inclusion programme which aims to provide chances for a better education and life.

“Thanks to Paysafe’s donation, our students will acquire significant digital skills which are really important in today’s information society, especially for students from computer science courses. My colleagues and I truly appreciate Paysafe’s support. We believe that every good deed is rewarded,” said Krasimira Kamenova, School Director at Professional High School of Construction, Architecture and Geodesy “Prof. Arch. Stefan Stefanov” in Montana.

“I would like to warmly welcome Paysafe as our partner. The company will give opportunity to students from 11 Bulgarian schools to use the latest computer technology. This donation will help motivate more than 4,000 Bulgarian children,” said Elitsa Barakova, Executive Director at BCause Foundation. BCause Foundation is Paysafe’s logistics partner for the donation.

“Having been recognised as Bulgaria’s largest software company in 2016, we want to give back to the society that has provided the talent from which we’ve built a successful team of over 900 people. We want to ensure that Bulgaria continues to invest in its population and that this talent is encouraged and developed for the future benefit of our country,” said Miroslav Bojilov, General Manager, Paysafe Bulgaria.

This donation is not the first time the company has invested in young talent. Paysafe Bulgaria also offers six-month long paid internships for aspiring Software Engineers, providing intensive learning and skill set development for young people aiming for careers in technology.

Sofia is the largest of Paysafe’s global offices and a key development, technology and operations hub for the company. It was also ranked 7th in the world by the design offices by the leading design community Office Snapshots. After the acquisition of Skrill by Optimal Payments in 2015, Paysafe Bulgaria became one of the largest employers in the country and has gradually expanded its office space to seven floors in Capital Fort, one of the most modern office buildings in Sofia.
