MORGAN MCKINLEY EXPANDS TEAM WITH NEW HIRES
New UK lead for Accounting and Director of Professional Services
Leading recruitment company, Morgan McKinley, has announced it is continuing its growth with two senior appointments to their UK operations. Ian Barker joins as UK Director of Professional Services, alongside Kathryn Swan starting as the UK lead for Accountancy Practices.
Ian Barker has been appointed as UK Director of Professional Services and will be responsible for leading the Professional Services brand across the UK, as well as establishing its legal practice arm. With over 17 years experience in the industry, Ian demonstrates a strong track record of appointing junior to director/partner level positions and building a national network grown throughout his tenure. Prior to starting at Morgan McKinley, Ian worked for Hays PLC where he was the Director for the Professional Services (Hays Legal, Hays Taxation & Treasury, Hays Public Practice) and Hays Insurance specialist teams in London.
Kathryn Swan has been appointed the UK Lead for Accountancy Practices (Audit, Advisory, Tax). Kathryn will have operational and strategic responsibility for leading the recruitment teams into accountancy practices across the UK. Kathryn started her career with Hays and worked her way up through the ranks over 19 years, becoming part of the leadership team of Hays Leading Women networking group along the way. As a director at Hays, Kathryn was pivotal over the years to the growth of the public practice team in both London and nationwide. Kathryn also worked closely with Leadership Through Sport, a social mobility charity dedicated to the development of young people working in finance.
