The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication (ISITC Europe), today announced MEP Dr Kay Swinburne as the official keynote speaker at its upcoming 25th Anniversary Conference and AGM.
Taking place on 26th January 2017 in London, the event will see Dr Swinburne discussing the impact of Brexit, and her role as a MEP and member of the economic and monetary affairs committee. She will be joined by Markus Ruetimann, former COO of Schroders, who will be giving insights into his wealth of experience in asset management – describing his take on the changes in the buy-side ecosystem and technologies. The audience will also hear from ZYEN’s Mark Yeandle, Paul Symons of Euroclear, and Gergely Polner from Standard Chartered.
This year’s conference theme, “Digitisation, Regulation, Market Change and Efficiency – What next?” will focus on the ground-breaking technology that occupies the financial sector today. To complement this theme, the conference will feature working group sessions on emerging trends and issues including blockchain, regulation and industry engagement.
Nigel Solkhon, CEO of ISITC Europe, said: “The calibre of speaker this year proves exactly why this is the leading technology and business forum in the securities industry. We have a duty to help educate our members about new initiatives, technologies and of course standards, and having the most informed experts sharing their insights is key to cementing this reputation.”
During its 25 years of service, ISITC Europe has provided its members with the means to influence the securities transaction process through the development of standards and practical applications for new technologies.
