LIVERPOOL HOMELESS FC PLAY BARTERCARD 11 IN CHARITY MATCH AT PRENTON PARK

BartercardUK has been raising awareness of Liverpool’s homeless by taking part in a charity football match at Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park.

logoAs sponsors of the National League side Tranmere Rovers, BartercardUK organised to play Liverpool Homeless FC at the stadium in support of the charity’s efforts to help those living on the streets of Merseyside.

Chris Kirby, Brokerage Director at Bartercard York, said: “When we chose to sponsor Tranmere Rovers, not only did we want to help the team and its fans but also the wider community. This is just one way we love to get involved and I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.”

BartercardUK provides a barter-trading system for businesses to exchange goods and services. Tranmere Rovers use the Bartercard platform to help offset day-to-day expenses on accommodation, marketing and promotional merchandise.

The charity match was held in association with the Shankly Family Foundation. The foundation, which supports young people and grass roots football in the name of the great Liverpool Manager, Bill Shankly, provided accommodation and refreshments for the players at the Shankly Hotel.

Meanwhile, Wonderland Memorabilia, another client of BartercardUK, donated two signed Liverpool FC photo frames for the match, which the Bartercard team presented to Liverpool Homeless FC and the Shankly Family Foundation at full-time. The match ended in a 4-0 victory to Bartercard.

Bartercard enables SME’s to use Trade Dollars, not cash, to pay for the exchange of goods and services as part of a global network of like minded businesses.

Members receive an interest-free line of credit ranging from T£5,000 to T£20,000, which allows them to make purchases immediately upon joining the network. It allows members to continue growing their business when cash flow has slowed or when credit may be hard to come by — without incurring interest or borrowing fees. Members then repay the credit they spend by providing their own goods and services to the Bartercard network.

BartercardUK offers three membership options, each geared toward a turnover level. Each option involves a cash and Trade Pound monthly fee, and a small commission on every Bartercard transaction. In return, Bartercard offers:

  • access to 54,000 fellow global cardholders who last year transacted £360 million worth of business
  •  a money-back membership fee guarantee for sales of up to T£5,000 in the first 12 months (subject to conditions)
  • up to T£20,000 interest-free credit (subject to status)
  •  free networking events throughout the year
  • an online membership directory, updated weekly
  • a mobile app.
