Kodak Alaris IM has a strong heritage in the provision of tailored solutions to meet the full complement of customers’ requirements within the healthcare sector. By bringing together a dynamic information capture ecosystem featuring the best science, technology, services and partnerships, Kodak Alaris has helped a number of NHS Trusts meet targets to digitise paper-based information ahead of schedule.

Stand H126 at HETT will showcase a selection of the latest scanners, software and services. Visitors will be able to get hands-on with the equipment, talk to the company’s dedicated healthcare specialists and see how its sophisticated solutions can take cost and complexity out of the process of digitising medical records in line with the Government’s Quality, Innovation, Productivity and Prevention (QIPP)agenda.

On stand demonstrations will mirror some of the tasks that clinicians and administrative staff face daily – from scanning patient records and diagnostic charts directly into Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems or onto insurance providers as evidence of care;to bulk scanning test results and utilising database look-ups to provide consultants with alerts of new results; through to updating patient records with signed discharge notices in real-time.

Taking centre stage at the show will be two soon to be launched compact, powerful and easy to use desktop scanners that make capturing critical information at the point of entry easier than ever. Other highlights will include the desktop PC-independent Scan Station 710 Scanner as well as the i3500 Scanner which offers impressive imaging functionality for onboarding batches of information and Intelligent Document Protection to defend against damaged documents and lost data. This space-saving A3 scanner can handle a wide range of documents and is purpose-built to deliver consistent throughput and minimise downtime, helping healthcare organisations to save time and reduce costs.

Visitors will also see the productivity-boosting i5650S Scanner with integrated sorting capabilities in action. This powerful model cuts handling time and delivers auto-sorting advantages by separating mixed batches of documents into three output trays, providing the flexibility that busy medical records departments need.

“We are excited to be attending HETT once again this year,” said Steve Clarke, EMEAR Healthcare Solutions Manager at Kodak Alaris IM. “We look forward to demonstrating through real-life customer scenarios, how we can help healthcare providers to transform processes, reduce costs and improve productivity, by leveraging our expertise in providing intelligent solutions to capture, recognise and extract, manage and securely exchange medical information.”
