Olga has a wide range of experience in trusts, wills and estate planning and is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) as well as a chartered legal executive.

Fluent in Russian, she advises clients on the tax aspects of UK private trusts, charitable trusts, wills and estate planning. She was previously a legal adviser at Blake Morgan and also worked at law firm Thomas Eggar before it merged with Irwin Mitchell in 2015.

Olga, an associate legal executive, will be based in the firm’s Chichester office. Her appointment is the latest stage in Irwin Mitchell’s strategy of creating a market-leading private wealth business, which has more than 40 partners and nearly 500 staff in 15 locations across the UK supporting clients. Last month Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth appointed Ben Xu, an immigration lawyer specialising in providing immigration advice to international clients and businesses.

Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth was launched in April 2016 and offers a wide range of specialist services for private clients including succession planning, reputation protection, family and divorce, probate and estate administration and town and country property. It also advises business owners and executives on their personal business wealth including succession planning, intellectual property, business law employment, commercial property and tax.

Michael Taylor, lead partner at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth in Chichester, said:

“We are delighted that Olga has joined our team. We have ambitious growth plans and her appointment is the latest step in our strategy of becoming the legal and wealth advisory business of choice for clients in Hampshire and West Sussex. Many of our clients want advice on estate and inheritance planning and Olga’s appointment strengthens an already-strong team.”

Olga Powell said:

“I am very pleased to be joining Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth. The team is among the best in business and I look forward to starting work with my colleagues. I previously worked at the firm when it was Thomas Eggar, and it was Irwin Mitchell’s exciting plans following the merger of the two firms that persuaded me to return.”
