Intrapay Shows Momentum with Office Openings  and Senior Hires

Payment solutions platform, Intrapay, is celebrating impressive growth since its launch in February 2018, opening new offices around the globe and unveiling an expanding senior team of industry big-hitters.

Focused on bringing a more personal approach to payments, Intrapay has opened new offices in St Julian’s, Malta; Manila in the Philippines and Manchester, UK with a new London HQ on the horizon.

This gives clients around the world access to a vital cross-border solutions combined with regional insight.

Intrapay continues to attract the best leadership talent from the global payments industry with a number of high-profile new appointments:

  • Matthijs Pronk, formerly of Ingenico, joins as CCO
  • James Churchill, formerly of Ingenico, joins as Director of New Business Development
  • Manuela Abela, formerly of Credorax, joins as Global People Director
  • Karl Gonzi, formerly of Credorax, joins as Vice President Legal

Matthijs Pronk, Chief Commercial Officer, boasts more than a decade of payments expertise, as a former head of the largest commercial team in Europe for Ingenico ePayments. He has a wealth of management experience, leading sales, account management, acquirer partnerships and marketing teams at companies across the sector. At Intrapay, he will be responsible for driving revenue by devising the organisation’s business strategy and developing close relationships with merchants to understand their challenges and deliver results to improve their business.

James Churchill, Director of New Business Development, spent four years at Ingenico ePayments, heading the FX EMEA department, as well as the account management team. He was previously account manager at a number of technology companies, including electronics expert, Fusion Worldwide, and optical specialist, Canon.

Manuela Abela, Global People Director, is a qualified HR practitioner with 10 years’ experience in identifying, acquiring and retaining talent from across the iGaming, Fintech and Consultancy industries. She will oversee the continued growth of the Intrapay senior team with new sector specialists and other payment talent.

Finally, Karl Gonzi, Vice President Legal, joins Intrapay from Credorax Bank, where he spent four years as Senior Legal Counsel. Before that, he was an advocate at WH Partners. Karl has now been tasked with developing strategy for Intrapay’s legal team, negotiating agreements with strategic clients, international financial institutions and solution providers, providing counsel to key company stakeholders and managing legal and regulatory risk across the company’s spheres of operation.
