ILLUMITI COMPLETES THE FIRST TWO PHASES OF MONARCH CEMENT’S DEPLOYMENT OF SAP® S/4HANA
Illumiti, a leading systems integration and management consulting company, today announced that it has completed the first two phases of the deployment of SAP® Business Suite 4 SAP HANA® (SAP S/4HANA) for The Monarch Cement Company.
Monarch Cement is a leading manufacturer of cement in North America, producing the highest-quality cement for its customers in the Midwest for over nine decades. Today Monarch serves all or parts of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma from its Humboldt plant as well as Monarch’s terminals in Des Moines, Iowa and Dodge City, Kansas.
Over the past number of years, the company has grown, both organically and through a series of acquisitions. Today, Monarch has the capability to produce 1,400,000 tons of cement a year.
Monarch chose SAP S/4HANA for its capabilities to help drive new efficiencies, strengthen reporting and build profitability.
SAP S/4HANA is SAP’s next-generation business suite designed to help companies run simple in a digital and networked world. This new suite is built on SAP’s advanced in-memory platform, SAP HANA, and offers a personalized user experience with SAP Fiori®. Deployable in the cloud or on-premise, SAP S/4HANA is built to drive instant value across lines of business and industries with the ultimate in sophistication: simplicity.
“We are very pleased to be implementing SAP S/4HANA and excited about the efficiencies it will bring to our operations over the longer term,” said Karen Jarred, Monarch Cement’s IT director. “One of the main reasons we chose SAP S/4HANA was its ability to empower our management team by providing them with easy access to the information they need, when they need it.”
SAP S/4HANA will provide a single business platform that will allow Monarch greater control of its operations, while still answering its high need for a secure, scalable solution.
Commenting on the choice of Illumiti as the implementation partner for this project, Jarred said, “We felt that Illumiti was the right match for our company. Their understanding of SAP S/4HANA combined with the unique requirements of our company made them head and shoulders above the competition.”
“We are very pleased to be working with Monarch Cement on this important project and are confident that SAP S/4HANA will be an amazing platform to drive operational efficiency now and in the future,” said Nir Orbach, Illumiti’s CEO.
The final phase of the implementation project is planned for completion in early April 2016, and will include finance/controlling and material management components.
