HFC CHICAGO CELEBRATES THEIR 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF PROTECTING CHILDREN

On May 3, 2017, Help For Children (HFC) Chicago will celebrate their 15th Anniversary at the annual Hedge Funds Care Chicago Benefit by honoring the their founding members who joined together in 2003 to protect and heal children from the trauma of abuse in the Chicago area.  That evening, at the Loews Chicago Hotel, the Kelly Lively Award will be presented to that committed group of professionals from the hedge fund industry who first began the Midwest based chapter of HFC.

Since inception in 2003, HFC Chicago has invested $7.5 million in programs that fight child abuse, positively affecting the lives of close to 3,000 children and families in the metropolitan Chicago area each year.

This year’s event is chaired by Brian Chapin of KPMG and Noah Ginsburg of RSM.  “We hope that you will join Brian, Noah and other leaders in Chicago’s alternative investment community to support and celebrate HFC Chicago’s work over the past 15 years,” said Dean Backer, Managing Director of Goldman Sachs and Chair of the Board of Directors of HFC.  “Please join with HFC in our mission of preventing and treating child abuse.  It will be a wonderful evening!”

This year’s keynote speaker is David Rothbart, M.D. FAANS, FACS., Neurosurgeon, who himself has overcome the effects of a traumatic and abusive childhood to achieve great personal and professional heights.  We’re so glad he will join us on May 3rd.

The Chicago Committee of Hearts would like to thank their Benefactors – Mesirow Financial, GCM Grosvenor, GEM Realty Capital, KattenMuchinRosenman LLP, Sidley Austin LLP and EY, along with their Event Sponsors: Apex Prime, Backstop Solutions, DLA Piper, JHL Capital, PwC, RSM, RiverNorth, UBS O’Connor, ACA Compliance and Blue Spruce Investments.  The support of these financial firms plays an important role in all that we do to keep children safe in Chicago.
