GLESEC ANNOUNCES NEW CYBER SECURITY OPERATIONS & INTELLIGENCE SERVICE TO ADDRESS END POINT INCIDENT MANAGEMENT RESPONSE AND FORENSICSPublished : 9 years ago, on
The GLESEC Group, a security powerhouse that delivers world-class information security through its cyber-security companies across the Americas, has announced a new service offering to target end point incident management and response.
Security teams are inundated with alerts each day; some providing information of a breach, while most others false positive results. It is with this in mind and the experience in handling millions of cyber-attacks every month for its health care, pharmaceutical, financial and government clients in the U.S. and across Latin America that GLESEC launched this service. GLESEC recognized a need to address in a more focused and efficient way the handling of incidents for end-points and conducting detailed investigations as necessary. The new service, branded MSS-EIR for Managed End Point Incident Response is part of GLESEC’s TIPTM Platform of Cyber Security Operations & Intelligence Services.
The MSS-EIR service, powered by SECDO, a cyber security company with best-of-breed technology, enables GLESEC Operations to monitor and manage incidents across the enterprise. GLESEC’s appliance integrates with SECDO to gather information from all the end-points and report back any suspicious activity and the chain of events that it spun off from this. This real-time activity allows quick containment and remediation and reduces the risk of compromise for the entire organization.
The service works at two levels; one of actively hunting for potentially compromised hosts and the other for incident response investigations. The information is processed by GLESEC’ powerful BIGDATA technology that correlates various other sources to add intelligence and context to the investigation.
Clients receive the peace of mind to know that incidents are being handled around the clock and are notified following incident management procedures. Executive and technical Cyber Security Reports are provided monthly with the aggregation of all services offered by GLESEC to the client.
“Our partnership with SECDO enables GLESEC to lead the market by leveraging SECDO’s powerful technology in a fully functional service due to GLESEC’s versatile TIPTM Platform, allowing for a quick deployment using our proprietary appliance and back-end infrastructure. We are confident that our clients will benefit for this additional service to the already large set of managed security services at their disposal. This provides modular flexibility and increasing security for their business,” says Sergio Heker, GLESEC CEO.
Enterprises are in a continuous battle against known and unknown threats with an ever-growing lack of skilled resources and operational demands. Managed Security Service Providers act as an extension of the internal security team and allow enterprises to leverage highly skilled professionals combined with cutting edge technology. SECDO’s partnership with GLESEC allows many customers to benefit from that strong combination of skills and innovative technology to shorten response times, detect advanced threats and reduce overall operational costs.
