FREEAGENT JOINS FORCES WITH ANDERSON ON NEW SERVICE FOR CONTRACTORS

Established UK contractors are set to benefit from an innovative new accountancy services package launched by cloud software pioneer FreeAgent and leading accountancy and back office services provider – Anderson Group.

Under the partnership, FreeAgent’s award-winning software will be included in Anderson’s new service Anytime – a “low cost” but full service accountancy, tax and statutory support offering designed to meet the needs of experienced contractor clients.

Clients using Anytime will have access to FreeAgent, as well as low cost pay-as-you-go support from a team of accounting experts. The package will prove popular with established contractors who do not require ongoing unlimited support from their accountants and who want a lower-cost service – and it is expected that more than 1,500 clients will sign up to the service within the first 12 months.

Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent, said: “Contractors have very specific requirements when it comes to their business accounts, especially if they have been trading for some time. They tend to require less hands-on support from their accountant than a newer business owner needs as they have a good understanding of how their businesses are performing.

“We’re therefore delighted to be partnering with Anderson to provide a service package that is tailored for these clients’ needs. We look forward to working with them on their Anytime package and providing the best service for their contractor clients.”

Victor Stanton, Anytime Director added: “When first contracting through a Limited Company, it is no surprise that contractors have questions, so it makes perfect sense to offer them unlimited support as part of their package.”

“Fairly soon, and with a bit of experience, most contractors need less and less helpdesk support – but so often we see examples where they remain on a fee package that includes this.  Anytime is designed to save these contractors a significant amount of money, leaving them to pay only for the service that they need.”

“We’re very happy to be partnering with FreeAgent and including their cloud software within Anytime, which we anticipate will become a very popular service among established UK contractors in the coming years.”
