  • Cloud accounting software pioneer teams up with leading specialist accountants to help 1200 freelancers and contractors stay on top of their business finances

Innovative cloud accountancy software provider FreeAgent has joined forces with one of the UK’s leading accounting specialists for contractors and freelancers to help its clients stay on top of their business finances.

The company has agreed a new partnership with K&B Accountancy Group, which will see around 1,200 contractor and freelancer clients migrated onto FreeAgent’s multi-award winning cloud system. This will give clients greater clarity over their day-to-day business finances, while providing their accountants with the most effective way of working with them.

Ed Molyneux, CEO and co-founder of FreeAgent, said: “K&B Accountancy Group is one of the leading names for providing accounting services to freelancers and contractors in the UK, so we’re delighted to be partnering with them.

“Migrating more than a thousand customers across to FreeAgent is a clear indication that they recognise the benefits that we can offer to their business and see how our system provides them with the best method of collaborating with their clients.

“We’re looking forward to strengthening our relationship with K&B in the coming years and helping them work even more effectively with freelancer and contractor clients.”

Johnny Leung, a Director at K&B said: “We needed the best software that would suit the needs of our clients and it quickly became clear that FreeAgent was the right choice. It’s a system that puts the user’s needs first compared to other solutions that are geared towards making life easy for the accountants, and that’s something that our clients are really appreciating.

“Keeping our clients happy and engaged with the software is the best way of ensuring they have the information they need, and it means that we can provide value added services that save them money and reduces their stress. Many of our clients are already enjoying the benefits that FreeAgent offers and we look forward to introducing even more of them to the software in the near future.”

By using FreeAgent, K&B Accountancy Group enjoys simple pay-as-you go monthly billing, including free automated bank feeds and fully integrated RTI-compliant Payroll. Additionally the FreeAgent Practice Dashboard gives accountants an immediate overview of their clients, allows them to manage user-level access permissions and enables a proactive approach through exception-based Alerts, custom defined at an Account Manager level.

As part of the implementation project, FreeAgent also provided full product training and support to K&B Accountancy Group, in addition to helping them communicate with all of their clients on the benefits of the move to the FreeAgent system. Accountants interested in learning more about FreeAgent should contact 0800 025 3900 or visit
