CYBERONE APPOINTS VINCE WARRINGTON AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENSURE BEST PROVISION OF IT & DATA SECURITY TALENT FOR FINANCE SECTOR

Warrington will head-up unique CISO-as-a-Service offering to help businesses safeguard against escalating cyber crime on a flexible basis

Newly launched, specialist cyber and IT recruitment consultancy, CyberOne, set-up by IT recruitment veterans Lee Chapman and Jamie Fordyce, is pleased to announce the appointment of Vince Warrington as Non-Executive Director. Vince will provide expert specialist IT advice and guidance on recruiting the best IT and data security talent to help businesses safeguard against escalating cyber crime and meet stringent, new EU data regulations that are set to come into legislation next year. He will also head up a new CISO-as-a-Service offering which enables businesses to secure expert cyber security talent on an operational cost basis, as and when they need it.

Vince brings over 15 years experience in Information Assurance and cyber security and is a recognised expert in heading up large-scale, organisation-wide IT and cyber security programmes for the financial sector, central Government departments, blue chip private companies and well-known voluntary organisations across the globe.

Vince is an influential member of the Information Assurance Advisory Council (IAAC) and the UK Cyber Security Forum and has delivered successful cyber security programmes for GlaxoSmithKline, Diageo, Financial Conduct Authority, Euromoney Institutional Investor, Saudi Aramco, Metropolitan Police Service, Sainsbury’s, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, HM Treasury and Skillshare International, among many others.

Jamie Fordyce, Director, CyberOne said: “Vince is a recognised and trusted industry figure in the cyber security world and we are delighted to have him on board to help us deliver a unique and unparalleled solution that combines both expert IT security consultancy with our industry-leading recruitment service. Company data has unfortunately become a highly valued commodity among the cyber underworld, and businesses in all sectors are finding it increasingly difficult to consistently stay one step ahead. Our dedicated cyber security recruitment service and CISO-as-a-Service offering will enable businesses to achieve their security and compliance objectives quickly and effectively, and given the current levels of cyber threats, we expect there will be much demand for our new recruitment services.”

Vince Warrington, Non-Executive Director, CyberOne said: “Businesses, especially those in the financial sector, are crying out for talented Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) to

help them fully understand the full picture of their defence landscape and identify where any potential cyber weaknesses might lie.  CISOs are not just about IT – they also require a full understanding of the business and its objectives, have a sound knowledge of risk, and the ability to influence and deliver business change effectively. It is perhaps not surprising that CISOs are very much in demand and often difficult to secure. CyberOne’s CISO-as-a-Service consequently provides the ideal way for businesses to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of the best cyber security minds around – as and when they need it – without having to worry about this particular recruitment and retention challenge. I look forward to working with CyberOne to launch this unique, flexible service which will enable more companies than ever before to access the talent they require to make their businesses more secure and compliant.”
